Midland Main Line: Sheffield-Derby
The 36-mile Sheffield-Derby section of the Midland Main Line. Running through the heart of South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, it serves the towns of Dore, Dronfield, Chesterfield, Belper and Duffield along the way.

Buxton and Peak Forest Extension
This extension adds over 25 miles of new route which includes some of the most rugged landscapes in England. Featuring the steeply graded 17-mile passenger line from Hazel Grove to Buxton, this picturesque route also incorporates the complex network of freight lines around Buxton, including the quarries at Tunstead, Dowlow, Hindlow and Dove Holes. This route includes the connection from Peak Forest to Chinley South Junction, meaning you can drive directly onto the Hope Valley Extension.

Hope Valley Extension
This challenging route links Sheffield to Manchester via the stunning Hope Valley before passing through Stockport and the suburbs of Manchester, finally reaching Piccadilly station. The route is over 55 miles in length

Nottingham-Lincoln Extension
This 36-mile route links Nottingham with the picturesque city of Lincoln via Newark-on-Trent and lets you drive from Nottingham to Lincoln as well as from Newark Northgate to Lincoln.

Erewash Valley
The Erewash Valley line branches off the Midland Main Line at Clay Cross junction, heading south. It is approximately 23 miles in length and includes the section from Trowell Junction to Mansfield Junction via Radford Junction. This section is used by passenger services to and from Nottingham, and also included is the freight line to Toton via Sandiacre.

Derby-Nottingham-Leicester Extension
This 40-mile extension covers the Derby-Nottingham-Leicester section of the Midland Main Line, running between Derby in the north and Leicester in the south.

Derwent Valley Line
The Derwent Valley Line climbs for around eight miles from Ambergate Junction through the scenic Derwent Valley to the Derbyshire county town of Matlock.

Barrow Hill Roundhouse Extension
Barrow Hill Roundhouse is unique in being the last surviving railway roundhouse in the United Kingdom with an operational turntable and is now a unique railway museum and events location. This add-on has been carefully created to reflect the unique nature of the site and features a custom-built operating turntable and all the unique objects that make up the site.


Important! If you purchased Train Simulator after 20 September 2012 then you will require the European Loco & Asset Pack (available to purchase via Steam) for these routes to display correctly.

Some of the scenarios supplied with these routes require rolling stock that is not supplied with the software. Full details of the rolling stock required are provided in the Scenarios section of each route.
