3DZUG remains faithful to its motto and therefore starts a nostalgic test run - our first steam engine, the BR05 awaits you for a tryout!
In 1935 the Deutsche Lokomotivbau-Vereinigung (a German association of railway engine manufacturers) realised the 'need for Speed' and the aim for higher speeds in train services. The goal was to reach 150 km/h hauling 250t (including reserves to reach a temporary top speed of 175 km/h in case of delays).
The solution far surpassed that; with an incredible speed of 200.4 km/h, the BR05 is not only the fastest steam engine in Germany, but also one of the fastest in the entire world. Until today, only one stabled engine could be visited at the DM Museum in Nuremberg, but now, thanks to 3DZUG, it has become possible to drive this engine in Train Simulator. So you see, we chose this outstanding engine for a reason.
Using original historic documents, we tried to re-create the prototypical driving characteristics of the real-world model, but also include some gameplay adaption for the not so experienced train driver.
The engine supports PZB90 and comes with numerous coaches and also six scenarios so you can start conquering the tracks in a nostalgic manner.
