Additional shopping cart security

Website security is always on the move and changes faster than the British weather! Internet Service Providers, site operators, credit card companies and data protection organisations are constantly coming up with new initiatives to keep customers details secure and prevent fraud.

As part of this ongoing process we have now upgraded all our shopping carts to use 'Verified by Visa' and 'Secured by Mastercard' to authorise credit card transactions. Many of you will already be familiar with this system, in which a small window appears during the checkout process and asks you to enter further security details.

If it’s the first time you’ve used your card with this system, it's all very simple. You’ll be asked to enter some details by the card provider and then your card is ready to use on our site and any other that is part of the scheme.
